An unregistered Internet Antivirus shuts down computers?
A former classmate complained to me about a computer virus in her PC that shuts down her computer and shows a blue screen with characters that my friend cannot understand. A pop out screen also appears showing several viruses and a text link "register internet protection". When this prompt is clicked, the user is asked for a license ID and to register so the virus will be cleaned up. My friend also added that an "internet anti virus unregistered" notice appears whenever the PC shut downs.
I suspect this is the antivirus2009 malware that my friend has downloaded or a similar type of malware program that fools users into clicking bogus virus alerts that automatically download infectious files into the PC.
I checked out yahoo answers online on how to remove unregisted Antivirus 2009 and there are several unregisted Antivirus 2009 removal instructions. However, I also found an antivirus 2009 automatic remover from fix-computer-problem. If your PC shows the same symptoms as my friend's PC, you may want to download Malwarebytes, a free malware spyware removal program that you can use as an Antivirus 2009 removal tool:
