The fake Windows Security virus is yet another rogue software that is trying to scam computer users by selling licenses of non working computer security tools. This windows security 2011 virus gives advice that license errors and should be fixed via the license manager. The windows security and 2011 virus also gives alerts that PC security is under threat and software update is necessary.



The "Windows Security 2011" tries to make people buy the bogus Windows Security 2011 license key. The fake Windows Security 2011 causes compromised computers to flash fake secuirty alerts and then gives the impression that one must buy the windows security 2011 license that it promotes.

You can use malwarebytes. Follow the steps below on how to remove windows Security 2011 virus:


* To use Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware as a Windows Security and 2011 remover, dowload the program from Malwarebytes.org.

* Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.

* At the end, be sure a check-mark is placed next to the following:

Update Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware

Launch Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware

* Click Finish.

* If an update is found, the program will download and install the latest version.

* Once the program has loaded, select Perform quick scan, then click Scan.

* When the Malwarebytes Windows Security and 2011 virus removal tool scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.

* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected. Reboot your computer if prompted.

* When completed, a log will open in Notepad.
