The PC repair virus is a new version of malware that belongs to a family of fake defragmenters. Like its predecessors that include the likes of the hdd repair malware and disk repair virus, the PC Repair malware can appear as a system optimizer tool that can fix issues in your computer.

The PC repair virus will try to pass itself as a legitimate software and by doing so, make itself appear to detect and scan errors in your PC causing popup alerts. You are then prompted to purchase the PC repair tool license key. The misleading alerts will imply that purchasing the key or the full version of the promoted defragmenter will help you fix problems in your computer. These are all lies, do not be duped into paying for the pc repair tool software because it is a hoax.
