The Internet Security Gaurd is a fake antivirus protection tool that, like most of its predecessors, causes infected computers to generate misleading popups advising users that the PC has trojan, viruses and other malwares. While the Internet Security Guard Virus attempts to appear as a legitimate security software, it does not actually detect and remove any harmful and malicious files. This malware was developed and distributed to cheat people into paying for the license key or full version of the Internet Security Guard scam software. 1. Download Malwarebytes and then rename mbam-setup.exe to iexplore.exe
2. Launch iexplorer.exe to install Malwarebytes
3. Once the program is installed, navigate to your Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware folder.
Find mbam.exe and rename to iexplore.exe
4. Doubleclick iexplore.exe to launch Malwarebytes and use as av guard online removal tool
5. Click the "Update" tab and click the "Check For updates" button.
6. Once the program has loaded and updates were downloaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
7. Once the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
8. Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
Remember to stay away from purchasing softwares in the internet that you are not familiar of especially ones that cause your computer to redirect to its purchase page/ website. Fake antiviruses can easily pass themselves as legitimate software. Thus a safer way to purchase an antivirus is to visit the official sites of legitimate and well established security softwares.
