The website Virus Defender (VirusDefender.org) is another malicious website that pretends to provide a free virus removal. VirusDefender.org shows a fake system scan that tries to make you believe there are data errors and security errors in your PC:

The virus defender browser hijacker will then attempt to make you download the antyvir.exe file, likely a fake anti virus protection sfotware. Do note that most fake antivirus softwares may also prevent you from visiting other sites. In the case of virusdefender.org, for example, you may keep getting back to this site and you may not be able to visit sites that provide Virusdefer.org removal informations.
